My Story
As a busy mom of three I know first hand how difficult it is to find time prioritize health and wellness.
In 2015 I had a busy three year old, two home-based businesses, and endless household chores to keep up with; boom I found out I was pregnant with twins!
Just what I needed, MORE WORK x2! (The best blessing in disguise)
After they were born those little pockets of time I used to be able to find to squeeze in some exercise became next to non existent. Well actually that’s not true, I just stopped prioritizing myself and instead focused my energy on the needs of everyone else without realizing just how destructive that was to us all.
Over time; I grew more tired, had less energy, became more easily frustrated by children, and my anxiety was through the roof.
Like many moms; I used to think I deserved a glass of wine after a long day with the kids or I would want to plop on the couch to relax and watch mindless TV to unwind. What I didn’t realize was that my lack of healthy wellness habits programmed into my daily rituals and routines was impacting me in ways I didn’t even understand:
I gained weight which impacted my confidence.
I started consuming alcohol which decreased my overall quality of life.
My sleep sucked.
I was often irritable.
I was full of resentment towards my husband and children.
My energy levels were garbage.
I was unfulfilled.
Something had to change!
When a global pandemic shut the world down and locked me into my home with my family 24/7 I knew I would need an outlet and that my “no time” excuse was no longer valid; it was time to start exercising again.
I started by committing to just 10-15 minutes of cycling per day on my Peloton bike for 30 consecutive days. Soon after, I was hopping on Zoom to do some virtual streaming strength training sessions with my sister; before I knew it I was craving exercise and finding myself going on long outdoor walks again almost daily.
As my exercise increased my sleep, mood, and fulfillment began to improve. Next came making more mindful decisions with my nutrition and scaling back on alcohol consumption.
Eventually, January 2023, I decided to complete the 75 HARD Challenge which led to me stepping away from alcohol indefinitely and diving hardcore into studying wellness, nutrition, and exercise.
What started as research for myself soon turned into a passion to serve others in need of improving the quality of their life.
In 2024 I became NASM a Certified Nutrition Coach and Certified Personal Trainer with the intention of helping moms struggling, the way I once did, find their way to prioritizing their health.
I want to help them create sustainable, healthy, fad free habits to achieve each of their wellness goals.
